1. Where will my child go on the first day?
Students will be met by members of the staff and students body, and will be lead through a process or meeting their teachers, activities and becoming familiar with the school.
2. What does my child need for school supplies?
In most cases you can leave their school supply shopping until the end because their needs will be based on what classes they end up with in each semester.  To be safe, duo tangs, pencils, pens, erasers, loose leaf and a few binders would be a great place to start.
3. Will my child be in classes with students from other schools?
Yes, you child will be assigned a schedule and they will follow that from September until February (Semester 1), and a different schedule from February until June (Semester 2).
4. Does my child get a 'mark'?
Yes, you child will be graded on a scale of 0-100% on their report card.  The pass mark for all classes is 60%.
5. What happens if my child does not 'pass' a class?
In most cases, the student will report that class in the next semester or the year after.  That may mean that they are in grade 9 for more than a year.  With proper attendance and effort, students are usually very successful.
